Support Family Recovering from Fire Loss

I don’t even know how to write this or if this makes sense since I’m still in complete shock. Our duplex caught on fire late Friday night, early Saturday morning, and we lost it all. The dog next door knocked over a candle that my neighbors forgot to blow out, and he knocked it over.

We were able to get out safely, and our 3 cats are safe too! I’m supposed to start work Monday after being off since October on maternity leave. I totally just don’t even know what to do or where to start, and multiple people were telling me to make this.

I TOTALLY don’t expect anything. So please, don’t feel obligated. I know it’s rough out there right now. We’re currently with my parents, and when I can stop puking from shock and stress, I’ll try to figure out our next steps.

The building is still up, but there is lots of structural damage, and it was deemed a loss. I’m not mentally able to even see what it looks like right now, but will post when I’m able!
