Help me make the most of my growth

Hi, I’m in seminary this year and one of the most pivotal moments and biggest opportunities for growth is our Poland trip.

We travel around to many different memorials and historic sites that witnessed our very real and very painful past. We get to more deeply understand where we came from and what we’ve been through as a nation. We feel the pain of our people and make it real, not just a chapter in a textbook.

We have an incredible tour guide that ensures we don’t leave in a depressive state. Rather with a reason to move forward and a greater purpose to live for. He guides us through painful events with such hashkafic clarity that leaves us with inspiration and a desire to continue and to grow.

I want to go really badly. I feel it will really help my growth and contribute to this year as a whole. I feel, and many mentors and teachers agree, that this trip, and the inspiration and clarity it will bring, will help with my relationship with Hashem and Torah. As well as help solidify my seminary year and Jewish foundation which subsequently will affect my life and future.

The problem is it’s very expensive. All the expenses make sense and are as reasonable as can be found, but it’s still expensive. Money can be tight and right now neither I nor my family can afford this opportunity.

If you could give even a little bit to help me go on this trip and gain so much more, I’d be forever grateful. (And you can ask your own shaila but I was told maiser money can be used for this.)
