Liam the Lion

Our precious Liam passed away unexpectedly and suddenly surrounded by the medical staff of Riley Children's Health and his Mimi and Pop Pop. We've exhausted ourselves with the why's and how's.

Liam fought a battle of Neuroblastoma (a childhood cancer) since he was diagnosed December 4, 2023.

Liam is such a special boy who touched the lives of all of those around him.

Though Liam had cancer, it didn't define him. You would never know he had cancer. He brightened everyone's day of those that came in contact with him. We always told him that he was our sunshine...and he still is. He always will be. ☀️

We sacrificed a lot when it came to Liam. We gave up our lives to give him a better life and to help him live....and we wouldn't change that for the world. From back and forth appointments, hospital stays, treatments, several surgeries, multiple scans, countless bloodwork, regular and high dose chemo rounds, two stem cell collections, stem cell transplants and ambulance rides all from Evansville to Indianapolis, intubation, medical paralization, and 24/7 dialysis.

He's overcome so much. He required 24 hr care - from us to his nurses and his whole care team at Riley.

Though it's hard, many people have asked how they can help and have suggested that we put up a GoFundMe page to help with our sweet, funny, energetic, happy, loving, caring, full of life, precious, deserving grandson Liam's, burial expenses.
