For Eric

My name is Lauren. My brother in law Eric was diagnosed with Melanoma that started as a mole on his scalp a year ago. His scan last week showed no improvements and he has new tumors that have spread to his lungs, hips, and shoulders. The oncologist has recommended an oral medication that will not cure him, it is expected to give him 6-12 months left to live. Eric and my sister Erica have been married for 11 years, he is 43 years old. They are going to have a lot of medical bills and they need 20,000 to meet their deductible. Anything extra would go toward a possible clinical trial in Mexico they are looking into. They are good people, he lived a healthy life and could never have imagined this to happen to him. They have a hard journey ahead trying to fight this, and they also have to try to appreciate what may be their last times together. To not have to worry about bills and insurance means they can enjoy the time they have together. Whatever generosity and kindness you share with them would mean more than words can describe.
