Shirley's Memorial Fund

Hello, my name is Brittany and I am raising money for my Grandma Cookie, Shirley Richards. Shirley sadly passed away on Mother's Day. Unfortunately Shirley had made no funeral or burial arrangements. The Richards family is asking for help to cover the cost of cremation, celebration of life, burial, & headstone. 

A little about my awesome Grandma...

She was born March 31st, 1945 in Brookville Pennsylvania to the late Bessie (Kirkwood) & William Mays. 

Shirley moved to Ohio in the 1960s & raised 4 children Thomas, Jimmy, Stacy & Matthew. 

Shirley was well known in the Massillon community from her many years of waitressing at the "Italian/American Club" & Smiley's Ristorante. Shirley worked well into her 70's, serving customers their favorite dishes.

Shirley had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. She enjoyed gardening, painting, reading, time with friends & traveling back "home" to Pennsylvania. But the thing Shirley enjoyed the most was spending time with family and her furry companions.  Shirley was a loving grandmother to 10 grandchildren; Brittany Richards, Michael Richards, Bridget Klotz, Becca Klotz, Hunter Klotz, Kefton Klotz, Nathan Richards, Sierra Richards, Christina Richards, & Brandon Richards. Also 6 great-grandchildren; Abby, Aiden, Caleb, Luke, Sophia & Connor. 

 Shirley had numerous dogs over the years, & were very important to her. Some of them include Molly, Buddy, Lacy, Louie & Fajita.We know times are tough, but every little bit helps. Please consider giving Shirley "one more tip".Every single penny will go towards Shirley's Memory. We plan on having a "celebration of life" at Navarre Civic Center on Monday June 19th at 1:00.
