Mathews medical expenses

Hello, my name is Diane Rainwater. I am creating this GFM page for our son Mathew Rainwater.

 

Mathew is a loving husband and father to two wonderful boys. He is a Southern California correctional officer of 6 years. He has been sick 2-3 months and lost almost 50 pounds before the the diagnosis of stage 3 colon cancer . He had surgery to take out the mass/tumor that was located where the small intestine connects to the large intestine. Took out around 14-16 inches of the large intestine, lymph nodes . They could not reconnect the the two intestines because the small intestine was to inflamed so he will have to use a colostomy bag through his chemo treatment. Hopefully his small intestine will be healed enough for the doctors to reconnect them. He will not be able to return to work until all this is repaired. We’re praying the chemo will exhaust all cancer❤️

He will have to pay out of pocket his full monthly insurance premiums until his NDI insurance kicks in which will take a few months. This will be a huge financial toll on him and his family. Please consider any size of donation so Mathew and his family can keep up with there financial responsibilities.
