Honduras Mission Trip

As you may know, I am finishing up my second year playing professional soccer for the Kansas City Current. I have had nothing but a blast while playing & am so grateful for the opportunity to continue doing what I love. Recently, I had gone through an injury, the worst of my career so far, & the Lord had so much in store for me in the 3 months I was unable to play. He moved in ways that I was not expecting.. one of which was the way He challenged me to discover my purpose & identity in & through Him outside of soccer.
From a very young age, I dedicated my life to soccer & by the Grace of God, I have been able to achieve one of my dreams at such a young age. Recently, I have come to realize another of my dreams - creating an annual league-wide mission trip for fellow believers, like myself, who have always wanted to participate in spreading the gospel & serving more intentionally but have been challenged in our pursuits due to scheduling conflicts. That is why I am teaming up with UPPER90 to take a mission trip to Honduras this off-season and experience it for myself.
This week-long trip is coming up at the end of November where we will serve as a team for one week through the common love for sport while having the opportunity to mentor young children. By leveraging a common global passion for soccer, as a way to foster relationships with children & families living in vulnerable communities, we can lead them to experience the transforming love and grace of Jesus Christ.
Now, here’s where I could use your help. A life-changing trip like this wouldn’t be possible without external support. I am blessed to have a big network of people supporting me through prayer & donations. While I have started saving on my own & fundraising, I would love it if you could be a part of my support network. For this to be possible, I am responsible for raising around $2000 by November. It would mean a great deal to me if you could support me in a financial way that is comfortable for you. More importantly, though, I ask for your prayer support. Prayer is the fuel that will allow us to be successful as we follow God’s leading in ministry in these countries. Without prayer, nothing will happen.
As important as the financial aspect is, I will value your prayers even more – not only for me but for our team’s ministry in Honduras. This is an opportunity of a lifetime, and I feel very fortunate to be able to participate. Thank you for helping make it possible.
All my love,
