Peaceful Memories

Hello! My name is Alicia Schuette-Winskill, and I’m the owner of Alicia Schuette Photography in Effingham.

For the last 6 years I have been providing photography services to parents who have lost a child during birth. I feel deeply for my work, and strive only for the best.

I have started my non profit to 1. Get the word out about my services, because some parents might not be aware.. and 2. Because I want to offer more to the parents in addition to photography services that do cost money.

I am raising funds to purchase clay molds, albums to put their photos in, the cost of printing the photos, swaddles & hats (outside of the normal hospital issued as a more personal keepsake of their child) and possibly even sterling silver locket necklaces with the child’s photo.

Monetery donations are extremely welcome to help provide parents in the area with a keepsake of their child.

While I understand not everyone can afford a donation, I greatly ask you to spread the word of my services in casual chit chat. There is a lot of people who are unaware of this service, and even though it’s an extremely heartbreaking one, everyone who does go through this deserves to preserve the memory of their child (no matter how far along the mother was.)

Currently I serve St. Anthony Hospital in Effingham, and Sarah Bush Hospital in Mattoon.

I also have a bank account at Washington Savings Bank in Effingham, and you are welcome to make donations directly there as well. Just mention it’s for the non profit called Peaceful Memories (founded by Alicia Winskill) if they need my name.

April 8th will mark 6 years of me doing this for the community.
