Hi, my name is Ethan Malas and I am a sophomore at Yorkville High School. Over the past school year, I have had the absolute privilege of being in Mr. Mueller's AP European History class. It has always been the highlight of my day and for good reason: Mr. Mueller is a fantastic teacher and each and every day, he makes learning new information super fun and easy. Every day, I'll walk into class and he'll greet me with a smile and ask me how lifeis going. He's a teacher I can joke around with, but also an authority figure I have utmost respect for. He is, without a doubt, one of best teachers and men I have ever known. Unfortunately, good things don't always happen to good people. Kade, Mr. Mueller's 16-month old son was born with Atrial Septal Disorder (ASD), which is essentially a hole in his heart. While many children with ASD have the hole in their heart close up naturally, this was not the case with Kade and he requires surgery to close the hole. The surgery is not overly complex, but is still costly and the Muellers' insurance has refused to pay for the medical costs for the procedure. I made this GoFundMe to do whatever I can to help my teacher out. Any donation, big or small, will help enormously or even just taking time out of your day to share this message with somebody. Any and all funds will be used to help the Muellers pay for any medical or outside expenses that come up.
