This is Mia. She is a bright, bubbly 11 year old with a wicked sense of humour and a whole lot of spunk. She lives with her mum, Felicity and her 3 younger siblings.
Two weeks ago, on the 10th November 2020, Mia and her family's lives were turned upside down when, after a litany of painful tests and scans, she was diagnosed with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (T-ALL).
T-ALL is a type of acute leukaemia meaning it is aggressive and progresses quickly, occurring when too many T-cell lymphoblasts (immature white blood cells) are found in the bone marrow and blood.
Doctors began an aggressive course of chemo therapy, along with other drugs, within days of Mia's diagnosis.
I am setting up this Go Fund Me page on behalf of Felicity and the family to help them financially through this traumatic time as Mia faces a battle that no-one should ever have to face.
