Moving Expenses to Secure Housing
Donation protected
My name is Marcia, and I currently reside in Lakeville, Massachusetts in a single family home with my 80-year-old father. Our rental home recently sold, and we have to vacate the property by July 31, 2015.
My father left his home in Fairway Oaks located in Brockton and moved in with me and my family after my mother passed of Alzheimer’s disease in 2003. He always talked about his life with my mom in the Fairway Oaks condominium complex and expressed his desire to move back there to live his last years.
After receiving the notice to vacate our Lakeville home by July 31st, I diligently searched for suitable housing for my dad and found one listing for an apartment in Fairway Oaks. I called the Real Estate Agent and arranged a meeting to submit the deposit and documents required to apply for the apartment. During the meeting, the agent listened to our story and called the owners of the condominium; they accepted my dad's offer to move in on August 1st.
I plan to put my property in storage and move in with my oldest daughter and her family until I can get up on my feet again. During the month of November 2000, and while my mom battled Alzheimer’s, I received a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and suffered from symptoms associated with the disease for years.
I managed and controlled my symptoms using natural supplements, diet, and exercise; for the past for nine years I lived without MS flare-ups. The horrific winter we experienced in Massachusetts triggered my illness and affected my eyesight causing the loss of my job as a private investigator.
The owners of the Fairway Oaks apartment are asking for two months rent by July 10th, or my father loses the apartment. I am seeking financial assistance to raise the rent fees, and moving expenses to relocate myself and settle my dad in a safe home at Fairway Oaks.
Thank you in advance for any assistance you can send to help us, we have less than 30 days to vacate our home in Lakeville.
