Chris Hogan Family Fundraiser

Donation protected
With a heavy heart I am asking for your consideration to help the Hogan Family. Chris was taken home at the young age of 44, leaving behind his wonderful wife Misty and three young children Cayden (10), Chase (8), and Mackenzie (6).  Chris lost his battle to liver failure, kidney failure, and respiratory failure at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston on May 17. He fought for his life for over a month, was in a coma, and his wife Misty was by his side every second possible. She took off work many days and has used all of her time off for this school year.

I’ve texted with Misty several times today. She said things like “This is very devastating for me and the kids.” “This is going to be a difficult journey in like from this point forward.” “Just trying to take it one day at a time.” “Thank you, I’m just very overwhelmed right now with his hospital bill sand Cayden’s medical bills.” “Anything at this point would help.” “The last few weeks have been torture; Having to make medical decisions for him and then losing him, and then having to tell the kids.”  “We had to make decisions based on what I would want, we never talked about this kinda stuff.” “I’m just trying to make it though this work week, then the visitation, then the burial.” “How do people even know about this.” (Misty does not have Facebook). “They will give without even knowing us?” “Seems insane.”

MY FRIENDS---Misty has been off work for MANY days, she is WORKING THIS WEEK before her husbands funeral; the father of her three children because she does not have any more days off. We HAVE to help this family make ends meet until they get their new “normal” back.

In addition to this tragedy, their oldest soon Cayden has major medical problems and his health is a major concern daily. Misty has so much on her plate right now it just breaks my heart.

Please join me in making a donation; $1.00 or $100.00. I promise that every penny will be appreciated more than you will ever know. Misty is such a wonderful, hard working woman and mother. She will do whatever she has to do to make sure her babies are ok. I would love to help ease the financial burden that she is experiencing right now.

Most of all, please keep Misty, Cayden, Chase, & Mackenzie in your prayers. The visitation for Chris is May 24, 2018 from 6pm-8pm at Grace Funeral Home.
