Brenda's Story

Brenda is a mom of 3, and Nana to 4 grandchildren. She has been fighting Cancer for approximately 7 years. She was initially diagnosed with breast cancer in July 2016. After this diagnosis nine of eleven lymph nodes and a breast were removed. She began treatment two months later which included 28 rounds of chemotherapy, which ended on November 18, 2016. Two rounds of radiation followed. In late 2017 after the radiation treatment, cancer went dormant.
Her faith in God, prayers, love and support from her family and friends were uplifting from the effects of the aggressive treatments. But the physical, emotional and financial struggles take a toll on her health.
Just one year later the cancer had returned, this time in her liver, ovaries, lungs and kidneys. Her stomach required draining every week as it filled with fluids. A port was inserted into her right shoulder to issue medication as her veins were not good. This was a painful procedure.
A new trial drug was offered and it showed great promise, renewing her energy and spirit.
In 2022 however, tests found lesions on her brain. She underwent a new intense radiation treatment, specifically on her brain. Countless biopsies, CT scans, ultrasounds, bone scans and bloodwork have intruded into her life for years.
Several weeks ago, Brenda met a lady as she awaited treatments at the Cross Cancer Institute. She too had cancer and was told that she was in the late stages, and nothing could be done. After much research, she found a doctor in Mexico who was willing to treat her. Today she is without cancer.
Brenda and her family are asking for your financial support to be able to send her to Mexico to explore the treatment options that have helped countless people beat cancer. We are optimistic that with this treatment Brenda can and will return to enjoying a good quality of life...free of cancer and will watch her beautiful grandchildren grow up.
Thank you so much for reading Brenda's Story, we are grateful.
God Bless.
