LINDA & HER DAUGHTER CHELSEA & GRANDDAUGHTERS, JADE &KADEN
My sister Linda is a gentle and empathetic soul. She felt bad for the friendly young ER resident who ordered scans expecting them to show whether her pain indicated appendicitis or an ovarian cyst. His eyes betrayed compassion and shock when he delivered life changing news to this beautiful unsuspecting patient: the results showed instead that she needed to see an oncologist. Eventually tumors were found in her liver, lungs, bone and brain. Biopsies revealed her diagnosis to be neuro endocrine carcinoma. An oncology radiologist wanted to begin immediate treatment with whole brain radiation followed by chemotherapy.
Would this be curative we asked the oncologist? No, it would only buy her some time, possibly measured in months, most probably while feeling terribly sick from the treatment. She decided to decline this kind of medicine in order to protect her healthy brain tissue and quality of life, choosing instead to focus on the imminent birth of her grandbaby. Linda’s only child, Chelsea, had already blessed her with two precious granddaughters (who call Linda their ‘Ya Ya’) and another was due any day.
LINDA SAID NO BRAIN RADIATION & YES TO ATTEND THIS BIRTH
Understanding that radiation and chemotherapy offered little hope for life made it an easy decision to dive deep into intensive evidence-based alternative treatments that did offer hope. She now is inspired and guided by other cancer survivor/thrivers. The good news? After 4 months of super human effort on her part, and contrary to medical expectations, Linda is getting better instead of worse! Though we were told not to expect her to live beyond 2-3 months, she is stronger now at just over 4 months of her alternative therapy and hard work! We are all so hopeful but she needs help to continue this healing journey. She needs financial help to pay for treatment and expenses.
LINDA WITH SISTERS BEVERLY AND BETH
It takes a team and tons of effort for Linda to complete a day’s therapeutic regime but she is committed to it. Her family takes her to get very important but costly special IVs twice a week . Team members help shop for pure organic fresh fruit and vegetables and every day turn them into highly concentrated juice full of phytonutrients, nature’s medicine. Linda also must purchase and take numerous prescribed supplements and prescriptions. (At last count she takes 96 capsules & pills a day)! She also has daily breathing treatments, exercise, soaks, sweats, prayer, and meditation. The few free moments she does have in her incredibly busy schedule she chooses to spend with her loved ones.

The problem is that very few of her treatments are covered by her expensive medical insurance. Even though natural therapies costs much less than conventional medical treatment with chemo and radiation, Linda gets little help from her medical insurance. Available funds are near depletion . Linda’s 35 year hair stylist career left her with many loving cohorts and clients. Unfortunately her healing regimen is a full time job that doesn’t pay or allow her to work. She has lost her income to pay normal living expenses. Money raised by this campaign will pay for her IV therapy, medication, supplements, and tons of organic vegetables and fruit. Also it will provide for a new appliances to go with the new juicer, blender and water filter as these wear out from intensive daily use.
WILLIAMS, MEYERS, AND FIGIEL FAMILIES
We are grateful to all those who have added Linda to their prayers. She feels very cared for. Maybe with enough financial help, we can give Ya Ya eight more months of her first year to heal herself and possibly even show others how it can be done. Linda wants to be one of those cases written up in books like Radical Remission and Chris Beat Cancer. She is on her way. Please join us, her loving siblings (Beverly Doggrell, Mike Rhoda, Beth Figiel and Judi Murphy) in supporting Linda's quest for life. With your kind help, Linda will complete a year of defying cancer. Her monthly expenses are over $8000 so our 8 month goal is $64,000.

WHERE LINDA GETS INSPIRATION
Linda is an artist at heart with much more art inside her waiting to emerge. She has a special sympathy for artists who have trouble creating due to disability and has a long history of supporting organizations that help artists overcome tremendous obstacles such as not being able to use their hands. With your help Linda will continue this life's journey, showering others with love and care and manifesting her artistic expression in ways that inspire others.
Thank you you for sharing this campaign with others and for helping us in any way that you can.
With gratitude,
