Hey!
My name's Jx Heithmar and I'm looking for monetary support to help fund my gender affirming top surgery. My surgery takes place on January 28, 2022 in Chicago. While my insurance plan does cover some of the costs, my family and I found out we will still be responsible for $6,400 out of pocket. We are parents of an 18 month old toddler on a one parent income so any support would be much appreciated.

Five years ago I came out as transgender, nonbinary and started using They/Them pronouns. I have also been on hormone replacement therapy - testosterone for the past two years. I have dysphoria around my chest that causes me lots of stress and negative body feelings. Top surgery will dramatically increase my quality of life and happiness so I can be the best version of myself for me and my family.
Things I am most looking forward to post-surgery:
- reducing negative feelings I have about my upper body and increasing positive ones
- donating all of my expensive and uncomfortable binders
- wearing button down shirts, ALL the button down shirts!
- going topless at the beach/pool
- significantly reducing my risk of breast cancer
- looking in the mirror and thinking, "hey, that's me!"
