Yeet the teets! (Fawkes Top Surgery)

Greetings and salutations, my name is Fawkes and I’m about to yeet the teets!

I go by They/Them, I’m non-binary, and I am currently in the process of having gender-affirming surgery (i.e. yeeting the teets.) My top surgery is planned for the end of the year, so I’m working as much as possible to cover as much of the surgery as I can. However, due to my insurance only covering a small faction and other costs associated with the surgery, I’m seeking financial help.

When my breasts started developing it felt like everyone’s perception of me changed. As if I was supposed to talk and act a certain way. For a while, I played the role but as time progressed it was becoming clear to me that the feminine role I was cast into, wasn’t who I was. In fact, the longer I stuck to that role, the more my depression began to fester and grow. The term tomboy also never felt right, it was closer to how I was feeling, but it was still an inadequate description of how I felt and who I was. It was only five years ago that I learned of the term non-binary. After reading into what it meant to be non-binary, everything just clicked. Over the last five years, I’ve fully embraced who I am and who I want to be. The transition has been hard (aka a shit show and a half,) but I’ve come to a point where I am happy. I know the final thing for me to feel the most comfortable in my own skin would be to have top surgery. With the support of so many around me, I know I can make this happen.

How do you know me?

Many of you are family or friends. However, you might also know me as one of the members of the Cosplay Coven or as a fellow cosplay community member. I’ve been a part of the cosplay community since 2014. Spending my time either working for Kumoricon or volunteering at other events. I’ve been able to branch out and express my true self thanks to the kindness found in the communities I’m a part of.

What would the funds cover?

Donations will contribute to the cost of the surgery, post-op medical, and recovery expenses.
