Montrealers raising money to get family to Madrid after son hit by Metro
My name is Jamie Myles, and we found out today that our close family friend Debbie's son Jason has been involved in a terrible accident involving a Metro train in Madrid.
Jason (the person in the photo) has extensive injuries affecting most of his body and internal organs and is in San Carlos University Hospital (Hospital Universitario Clinico San Carlos) in Madrid. I am not putting too much detail here out of respect for Jason's family, but the situation is VERY SERIOUS!
I am raising money for Jason's immediate medical expenses, and also so that his family can go to be by his side in Intensive Care during this difficult time.
All the money raised will go directly to Jason's Family to cover the medical costs, costs that are incurred that are associated with visits to Madrid, physio and rehabilitation.
The funds are needed as soon as possible. Debbie or Cliff will be going to be with their son in Madrid.
Any funds that we raise will mean a lot, because this family cannot afford these expenses, or even the flights to be by their sons side, and have always been there for the community running a well loved Daycare in Montreal.
Let's bring Jason home to Canada as soon as possible, so that he can be surrounded by his family and friends and help him with his rehabilitation.
