Yesenia Cano’s life threatening illness
Donation protected
My aunt is currently battling Scleroderma disease, a rare and life threatening disease that affects the loss of movement in the joints head to toe. Scleroderma disease affects 1 in 300,000 people nationwide. This disease has no cure, and there is no pin point on how this disease starts whatsoever. It is a race against time. Yesi and her children need as much support as they can get. While Yesi has been suffering from this rare and debilitating disease, her children have had to care for her and take over all expenses. Yvette is only 13 and Eva is 19. This has caused tremendous financial strain. Not only with the monthly expenses such as rent, utilities, gas, groceries, toiletries, food etc. But Yesi also has not been given all the resources she needs to accommodate her in her home, such as medical bed, medical chair, handle bars, shower chair ect. Her insurance did not get approved to go seek medical help in LA which resulted in her care being done by her daughter and other family members, with little to no knowledge and trying to help with what we known just by research. Her medicine cost is not covered as well. The doctors in this area have had little to no patients with this disease. They have very minimum knowledge about this disease and the process to treat patients battling this. Yesi recently has been rushed to Stanford Hospital to seek the medical help she needs and deserves. We are asking for $20,000 so that her family and children can go with her to to Stanford and be by her side without staying back to work or worry about bills not being covered. All proceeds will go straight to the family to help cover bills, traveling cost, and all the care that Yesi needs to get her on the road to recovery. Any donations of any kind and a simple share can go so far, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. -Yesi’s family.
