Friends and family,
For those of you who don’t know, Yesenia battled with scleroderma for nearly eight years. Despite the difficulties it brought her in day to day activities, Yesenia tried her best to live a normal life. She held on to her faith, believing against all odds. She brought lots of encouragement and always led with joy. In the past couple of months Yesenia saw a decline in her lung capacity. In march she was admitted to the ICU and we prayed and believed that her journey wouldn’t end. Unfortunately, a couple hours after she was discharged from the hospital, she was taken back into Intensive care. Many factors added to the complexity of her situation and her prognosis became less likely to end in favorable outcomes. Despite the odds, family and friends believed day and night that Yesenia could receive her healing. She fought endlessly, not only for herself but for family and friends . She stood firm on God’s word and promises. She never stopped believing that God would deliver her from her trials. She was never alone during her hospitalization, always surrounded with those who loved her dearly. Yesenia found peace and comfort knowing that no matter the outcome, she lived a life of purpose and love. In the end, Yesenia did receive her full healing and reached the end of her race. On Sunday April 7 at 2:33pm, Yesenia layed in peace and healing, surrounded by family, until her very last breath on earth. We truly believe that Yesenia touched so many hearts with her story, her kindness, her selflessness, her joy, and her strength. As we mourn and grieve, we ask for your continued prayers and thank you for your condolences. For those of you who knew Yesenia, we want to thank you for being a part of her journey. We will lay Yesenia to rest in the weeks to come and ask that if it is in your heart to bless the family with any donations, that you may please do so here. Other ways to contribute are through Zelle (please message the family) and upcoming fundraisers. Again, the Garcia family wants to thank you for your messages, prayers, and memories that you’ve created with Yesenia.
