Yesenia's Health Crisis: Your Support

Hello, My name is Yesenia. I like to go by Yesi family and close friends know me as Jenny. Im a 40yr old mother of four. I have three girls and one boy. I am happily engaged and planned to be married in August.

I have a full time job as an Insurance producer. However i have not been able to work for almost 3 weeks due to my health. I have a condition called Bells Palsy. You might of heard of this facial paralysis before.

The left side of my face muscles are not functioning causing me to not speak correctly, Eating is difficult and as you can see my smile isn't normal. I’m not able to close my eye or blink so it has to remain protected and covered.

I went to the ER on April 9th thought i would get medicine and be back to work in a short time. Except i started experiencing other symptoms that i had not experienced before with previous Bells Palsy outburst .A couple days had gone by and i was experiencing some pain in my shoulder and arm. Easter Sunday i started feeling pain in my left arm and leg. Bad enough i wasn't able to walk and i was in tears. My fiancé rushed me to the ER. they did every text possible didn’t find anything alarming so i was sent home. with another round of steroids and pain meds. I followed up with my regular doctor a day later.

He was concerned about the pain and numb, weak feeling in my leg and arm. I am now waking with the assistance of a cane and im not allowed to drive. Right now i don't even want to think about planning a wedding and i might call it off if im not well. I’m embarrassed to even be asking for help. I have started the process for temporary disability. And i have applied for medicaid. Hoping that i qualify because of being off work, where before my income was over the qualifying brackets. As you know these application processes takes some time. I believe in the healing power of prayer and i ask that if you can’t donate please send some prayers and well wishes.

Although I have a job,

it does not offer health insurance. I have used what little i had saved for doctor fees and medications and I will have hospital and imaging bills coming in. There is no telling when i will be well enough to return to work. My fiancé does a great job with trying to keep up with everything but i would like to continue to help with my half of the rent, bills and still have something to pay some of my medical bills that will be flooding in. I have more test scheduled for the following week and im praying for some answers. Thank you for taking the time to read this and god bless .
