Glen’s Medical Expenses

Hi, my name is Ali and I’m raising funds to help with my dog, Glen’s, medical expenses. The goal amount is set to cover his upcoming ultrasounds and the amount I owe on the Care Credit card I’ve been using to help pay for his vet bills.

So, what’s going on with Glen? This has been the question of the year. It began in January when he had to have surgery to remove a couple of salivary glands that had ruptured. I took out a personal loan along with applying for Care Credit to cover the expense of his surgery, thinking he would take a couple of weeks to recover and then be back to his old self.

However, things did not go back normal. He began to have skin issues and was vomiting followed by constipation. First thought to be some kind of severe allergic reaction, the vet quickly informed me his symptoms were pretty odd. After tests and biopsies he was diagnosed with Cutaneous Vasculitis. He has been on medication for this for about four months now with no improvement but I’m hopeful he’ll turn a corner any day.

What has not been diagnosed, and still a mystery to his doctors, are his GI issues. He has been throwing up with what seems to be no rhyme or reason and has lost almost a third of his body weight. After tests and X-rays his vet has informed me that our next step is an ultrasound.

That is where this fundraiser comes in. After being told the estimate, my anxieties were confirmed, I could not afford to schedule an appointment. This was a difficult decision to make, to ask for help, but at the end of the day I will do whatever I can to get Glen back to his rambunctious, trouble making self. I know there are a lot of people out there that care about Glen and I thank everyone for any help that is (and has been) given.
