Atoll Marine Centre

Atoll Marine Centre is the only locally run turtle rehabilitation marine conservation NGO in the Maldives. Our main aims are sea turtle rescue and rehabilitation and community outreach. We receive turtles that have been either kept illegally as pets or found entangled in ghost fishing nets. Our marine biologists and veterinarian provide daily care, including medical treatment and rehabilitation exercises until they are fit for release.

Our marine centre relies on the support of donations and turtle sponsorship.

Turtle Adoptions: All of our adoption packages include a certificate of adoption, ID card, fact sheet, & photos of your turtle, along with detailed monthly updates and photos of them. Once you have donated through GoFundMe, please submit the form at the bottom of this page: http://atollmarinecentre.com/adopt-a-turtle/ . 

The form will NOT charge you again; it only asks for information that our marine biologists need to send your adoption package (selected turtle to adopt, email address to receive package and updates, and full name(s) to include on adoption certificate).
