Help my parents rebuild their life after Gaza

Hello.

My name is Mohammed. I am a Palestinian from Gaza who lives in Scotland.

I’m reaching out to you seeking your help for my family from the horrors of the relentless war that has been ongoing in Gaza for months now.

The situation my family is facing has forced me to take this step.

My mum and dad have lost everything in Gaza. My family were forced to flee our warm home, and cherished memories to seek refuge in the southern part of Gaza City twice. Since then, each day has been a harrowing misery, shared by all in Gaza.

Amid all of these horrors, we received the news that my parents house, that place we used to call home where we lived our childhood, as teenagers and adults, that neighbourhood where we lived with our friends and neighbours for years was simply reduced to rubble.

All 4 buildings and surroundings were wiped up from the neighbourhood. In a few minutes, a lifetime was lost. Home, savings, friends, neighbours, and memories, all vanished in a blink.

I’m concerned about my parents who dedicated their lives to me and my siblings to provide us with the best education and the possible comforts of life so we feel like we live in a place as in any other free country across the globe. At this age and within these war conditions, I would like to be able to provide them with a safe place and a decent life to give back a bit of all their dedication throughout our life.

Today, I am reaching out to you for support to help me to help my family.

I am initiating this GoFundMe campaign seeking financial assistance to rebuild my family’s lives after losing their home. I have set a goal of 40,000 £ for this campaign, which will mainly help the family to secure shelter and cover the main necessities in light of the severe losses that the family endured.

In case this war gets to an end, we need to restart our lives, in Gaza or preferably outside where we can find safety and peace. In Gaza, we have no place to live anymore and the rebuilding will take years and a huge amount of money. Outside Gaza, we need the money to get out and a reasonable amount to start somewhere.

Cost breakdown :

1-Arrange their permits to leave the Gaza Strip which will cost $5000-$7000 for each.

2-Accommodation and living expenses (transportation, rent, food, medical fees, and clothing) in Egypt for an extended period
