Raising money for the hospital for Navy’s birthday
Donation protected
How are we here? How has it been almost a year since Navy was born?
Tuesday 25th October 2022, the day Navy was born and also the day that Navy fell asleep and never woke back up.
We went in that day with his hospital bag so excited to finally meet him. We never expected to leave with complete and utter heart break.
The past year has been very different to any other year. I have put every ounce of energy that I have left into fundraising for babies in hospital and have achieved so much for other families. Through all the fundraising that we have done we have found out that around 100 hospitals in the UK do not have a cold cot. How is that possible? How is there just not enough funding so that every family can have the gift of time with their baby?
We have decided that for Navy’s 1st birthday we are going to make as much difference as we possibly can. Our local hospital where Navy was born has given us a list of all the things they need for babies. One of the items on the list is a cold cot. We have decided that we want to try and get every single item on the list to them starting with the cold cot. After that, the aim will be clothe boxes and hygiene bags.
We are doing a fundraiser on Saturday 28th October to raise as much money as we can for the hospital in Navy’s name.
Navy’s brother and sister (ages 8 and 4) have been a huge part of this journey and their school have decided to support them, they are going to do a “wear navy for Navy day” at their school to help raise money for the fundraiser. The date they are doing this is Friday 20th October 2023 and we thought it would be incredible if we could bring “wear navy for Navy day” to not just their school, but for anyone who would like to help us achieve our goal to help other babies and families. It would mean the world to us if you and your friends and families would like to be apart of “wear navy for Navy day”. As well as a donation we welcome you to send us a picture wearing Navy for that day.
Thank you so much for all your support x
