Helping Students
Changing lives one student at a time...
I once read a note from a person who ended his life, and he said that he no longer had “hope.” I will never forget that even though most of us know even the most dire situations are temporary, some people, especially our youth, do not. Because hopelessness seems never-ending, it can be especially hard to get through.
For the month of June, we are giving kids hope. Their identities will be protected. No personal information about any student will be shared. A DCPS social worker carefully selects a deserving student who is in need of some hope. We’ve been averaging about $200 each week, so I am raising the bar with the intention that in our final week, we can help more than one student.
I will donate ALL of my tip money on Saturday, June 27th from 10:45 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. The social worker will add $50. The owners of Vino’s have already donated another $50.
Not everyone can make it into Vino’s in Fruit Cove in order to help with this effort, so I am going to try this platform. Give what you can, if you are able! Every dollar helps! Every student attends ACHS, and none of the kids selected have been my students.
This is your chance to make a difference where no company will take anything for overhead.
Every dollar raised will go directly to a student If you want proof, I will provide it to you!
Love wins; kindness wins; and kids win! ❤️
