Please give to Mandy again as she still fights can

Dear friends of Mandy,

We would like to offer an update on Mandy’s battle with cancer. It seems appropriate to call it a battle since she is fighting hard against this cruel and destructive disease.

In recent weeks, Mandy completed 6 months of chemotherapy, with the doctors experimenting with 4 different kinds before they found the “right” one. Afterward, came a double mastectomy which is brutal on so many levels and for so many reasons. When she thought she was in the clear, the pathology report revealed a different story. The cancer is more extensive than they first believed. Mandy is now fighting against two different kinds of cancer, which have spread to her lymph nodes and the surrounding tissues. The next steps in Mandy's battle with cancer will be six weeks of radiation therapy and reconstructive surgery which will be just as brutal.

We all know Mandy is badass. We know she is fierce and determined when she sets her mind to something. We also know how hard it is to ask for help. Mandy is tired...just exhausted. Insurance companies don’t make it easy and all of the administrative tasks fall on her just to continue with short term disability.

We, as her friends, are rallying together and before she can stop us, we are asking for help (forgive us Mandy).
