Miss Madelyn's Road to Recovery

What do you do when you wake up one day to find out your world is turned upside down when your 5yr old daughter gets diagnosed with Pilocytic Astrocytoma (May 2014). It feels like everything you think you know, gets taken away. Your heart breaks, your mind races...what is the best decision? How do you keep your strength and focus for your daughter?
Madelyn's oncologist & neurosurgeon suggested a craniotomy within 2 days of her diagnosis. After an 8 hour surgery her tumour was resected and decompressed. They could not remove any more of the tumour due to the location as it is encroaching the hypothalamus and would destroy Madelyn. Madelyn is now allergic to the chemotherapy after almost 2yrs of unsuccessful treatments and shows signs of shock if not pre-medicated. Our family has decided to discontinue her treatment as its hurting her more then helping her. Her oncologist did not have any other suggestion except to do another operation "when she shows signs of ICP". That is not a solution as we need to help before it's too late. Madelyns tumour has not grown but is now compressing her ventricles in her brain to be enlarged causing intracranial pressure which potentially she can end up having a stroke.
We do not want to wait until something else happens. Please help our little angel battle this big obstacle of survival! Our family wants to continue other options available and will need extra funding for these new procedures outside of British Columbia. After relentless research & trying our best to lead a somewhat normal life between blood work, MRI's & other specialty appointments other options have been researched. It is our hope to help Madelyn naturally and boosting her natural defense system if at all possible to help break down the encapsulated components. We believe Integrative Oncology Centers with Advanced Cancer Vaccines, Non-Toxic Cancer Treatment, and Innovative Cancer Therapy, Integrative Immuno-Oncology are the way to proceed.
All contributions are greatly appreciated through this hard time fighting for our daughter's future. She's one amazing little girl that deserves a long happy future full of love and laughter.
