Who this will help

Hi friends and family! My name is Melissa Tollett and my brother Bobby Boone was just diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer which has metastizised to his lymphatic system as well as a small tumor in his liver.

Why I'm fundraising

I am starting a go fund me to help with medical expenses. As you know cancer is expenses and with his daily treatments and not working, I don't want this to be a burden on Bobby, to where he can't help provide for his family. Bobby will have radiation treatments 5 days a week for 5 weeks and next week they will change up his chemo treatment to folfox chemo and he will get continuous chemo treatment for 3 days for 6 weeks total. They will then reassess to see if the tumor is shrinking. He has currently been doing chemo and radiation for 2 weeks and so far the tumor in his esophagus has shrunk and he is able to eat some foods. The tumor is 5 inches long and almost covering the lower 3rd quadrant of his esophagus. We are very hopeful that treatment will work. His doctors at Dallas Presbyterian are extremely confident that they can beat this. From the bottom of my heart and my family we appreciate all the love and prayers sent to Bobby and his family during this difficult time.
