A Chance to Help the Children of Ukraine
Donation protected
100% of the funds from this project will directly impact Ukrainian children and youth! Ukrainian children are innocent victims of the brutal war that rages in their homeland. The funds raised here will provide approximately 100 Ukrainian youngsters, most of whom have been highly traumatized by the war and have endured the loss of a loved one, a safe haven in a peaceful environment alongside other youth living through the atrocities of war every day.
Children ages 8 to 18 will attend a beautiful and secluded summer camp at a secure location in Europe for one week, with three meals daily, medical support, and 24/7 personal care. Staffed by a group of American and European volunteers, supported by Jacob's Generation professional camp staff, chaperoning mothers, and counselors will work around the clock to care for these children and create fun, healing experiences for each of them. Program elements have been advised by grief/trauma specialists and art therapists to provide a respite from the chronic stress of war, a peaceful place to start the journey of emotional recovery, and a chance to reclaim a few joyful moments of childhood.
Our human duty is to protect children and give them opportunities to thrive. You can directly support the young victims of this war, giving them hope for their futures and a realization that there is still some good in this world, and more importantly, the comfort of knowing that people care about their plight and well-being.
Funds will be used solely for the Ukrainian children, the chaperoning mothers, and accompanying Ukrainian interpreters. All American and European volunteers are self-funding their expenses to serve and are unpaid. Donations will offset the cost of transportation, food, facility rental and activities. Your tax-deductible contribution will be managed and disbursed by Jacob's Generation's parent organization (Freedom Outreach, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization). Any funds exceeding the stated event goal will be used to provide clothing, school supplies and personal items for the children and their mothers. No organization or individual supporting the project will be paid or profit from this fundraiser. Funds must be raised by August 24th, 2022.
