Adam and Taylor's Medical Bills

Donation protected
This Go Fund Me is for Adam and Taylor Rush and has been initiated by their family. Beginning September 19, Taylor was hospitalized at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA for five days. She was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease, hemolytic anemia. Her hemoglobin was 6.4; normal is 12-15. She received two blood transfusions. She has needed many blood tests since then and will continue to have bloodwork for the next 9 weeks. Taylor was just able to return to work part- time two weeks ago. While she was at home recovering from the extreme fatigue associated with the anemia, she and Adam both tested positive for Covid two weeks later. Adam very quickly experienced a high fever and lost the ability to know where he was, who Taylor was, etc. They did bloodwork and a CT scan. After a few hours in the ER in Towanda, they got his fever down from 104.9 and he regained his ability to talk, his memory came back, and they discharged him. Unfortunately, within 2 days he was back in the ER, this time at Robert Packer in Sayre, where he spent 36 hours until they were finally able to get him a bed and admit him. He underwent two spinal taps, an MRI, an EEG and bloodwork. His memory deteriorated quickly and most of the time he was unaware of where he was. After all tests came back negative for many things, including seizures, Lymes Disease, stroke, the doctors concluded that it was all related to Covid. He was discharged 3 days after arriving in the ER for his second visit. Taylor was feeling awful from Covid and did a great job supporting him from home. We would like to help raise some money to ease the financial strain caused by both of their hospitalizations, 7 weeks combined of being out of work and the loss of income as they are both still limited to part-time only for the next few weeks. While Taylor's hemoglobin count is rising and is much better than before, she is still experiencing fatigue from the steroids she must be on for the next 3-4 months, interrupting sleep, etc. . We are so grateful that they are both progressing, and know it would be a huge encouragement to them to be able to pay off their hospital bills and catch up on normal daily expenses. Please consider helping if you can. Any gift is greatly appreciated!
