Sustaining Anangu Cultural Heritage
Donation protected
We are the Anangu Senior Traditional Owners of the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands in the far north-west of South Australia with authority under the Tjukurpa, our law and culture for the lands.
Our Tjukurpa Law and Culture is being watered down by government and others, they are trying to make us weak and undermine our Cultural Authority.
This is our culture. Anangu culture. It belongs to Anangu. Our Tjukurpa is ours and that can't be changed. It can't be taken from us because it is us. Tjukurpa is all around us and in us.
Our Tjilpi's (Old Men) are strong, Our Pampa's (Old Women) are strong. Our Tjukurpa law is strong, its for our Children and Grandchildren's and their children's and grandchildren's. Tjukurpa first.
For those seeking to change our Law and Culture and our way of doing business, please think again. Anangu must be allowed to run our land, our way.
Our Senior Lawman/Lawwomen are very concerned. We will not sit silently. Our law is stronger than one man or government, we will never give in or give it up. Our Tjukurpa is sacred.
Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (PY) Law and Culture Company receives no government funding to uphold its cultural authority on the APY Lands.
Funds raised will be used for holding meetings and passing on culture to our youth.
Thank you for those who support our cause. Your kind and generous donation will help to protect and preserve the longest living culture in the world.
