The Schumann Family

As many of you know, Karl had a stroke on June 22 and was rushed to the hospital in San Luis Obispo, where they discovered a clot in the basilar artery of his brain. He was immediately transferred to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital where they discovered a cancerous tumor in his lung and heart. Karl has since suffered several strokes due to the cancer. He is receiving radiation and chemotherapy treatments, as well as physical therapy for the effects of the strokes.

In this trying time, his wife Christina and their young daughters, Claire (4) and Eloise (2), have relocated to Santa Barbara to be closer to Karl and his medical team. The girls are attending school and preschool near the hospital.

During this stressful time, we want to ease Christina and her family's burden in any way possible. One significant way is by ensuring expenses aren't part of their worries. Medical bills, out-of-network expenses, ambulance trips, and the costs associated with relocating are adding up during a time where Christina isn't able to continue her contract work.
