YMCA Fundraiser 2024

Hello, my name is Millie Whipps. This is my 5th fundraising for charities at Christmas time. This year I am focusing on the charity YMCA and the work they do at their Southend facility. Southend YMCA is a registered housing provider who works with children, young people, families and the wider community. They provide high quality education, outstanding accommodation and positive activities and projects.

I recently had the privilege of visiting the YMCA in Southend and seeing first hand the amazing work they do supporting young people when they need it most. I had a tour of their facilities and met some staff members who were incredibly approachable and friendly. Their space has 36 studio flats and a crash-pad flat with 5 bedrooms and shared facilities. Not only do they provide a safe place for their residents to stay but they also have a music studio which is used to improve mental well-being and encourage their residents to express their creativity.

The money kindly donated by you will help fund Christmas gifts for all their residents, containing personal items, such as socks, self care products. As well as coffee shop vouchers and sweet treats. Please donate what you can and know that all contributions make a difference.
