Support Dylan's Family After Tragic Loss

Hi, I'm Dylan. I am a 14-year-old boy in ninth grade. On December 26, 2024, at 3:20 p.m. m., I decided to ride my scooter to a taco truck on 11th St Foothill in Oakland, CA. I was on my way to the taco truck on my scooter when three kids tried to rob me. I went to a laundromat and asked for help, but no one helped me. While I was at the laundry room, I waited for them to leave. When I saw they were gone, I ran home and told my dad. My dad decided to go look for them. He didn't find any of them, but on the way home, he noticed and saw the three guys I had told him about. So, my dad picked me up at our house and took me to confront them about why they were trying to rob me. At that moment I got a little scared because they had taken my scooter and I had run home with it. During the confrontation I tried to tell my dad to leave him alone. They had already taken my scooter, but the boys took it as a threat when my dad confronted them. We walked away and left it as it was, but they started following us and pointed a gun at us. My dad was shot in the heart and did not survive. I saw my dad fall to the ground in front of our house, choking on his own blood, and he died within seconds. I hope you can help me and my little sister who is only 8 years old, that person has left us devastated, he took our father, thank you for showing support to my family.
