Finley’s Medical Expenses

Hi, my names Makenzie and I’m Finley’s owner. Finley’s a 2 year old male, Yorkiepoo and my baby.

Last evening, Finley was in an altercation between 2 other dogs and severely injured. He almost lost his life. He’s currently in the ICU at VEG in the oxygen room receiving it for any brain trauma received from the bites to his head. He’s got multiple large lacerations on his head, neck, chest, and back legs. On arrival to the ER he presented with pneumothorax and they had to tap his lungs to get the air out for him to have any chance to live.

We are definitely not out of the woods yet. There is a possibility he may lose his right eye and that will be a whole additional expense. They don’t have an ophthalmologist on site so they plan to call today to see what can be done to hopefully save it. And any other additional things that may need to be done.

I really hate to ask for any help at all but we’ve been through the wringer in the past year (another dog attack and hit by golf cart). The medical expenses are over $10K and climbing as we will have to transfer to another hospital sometime today for emergency eye surgery. My boy is a true warrior and is fighting for his life. Whatever funds raised will go towards his medical bills and any additional appointments or specialists that he will have to be seen by. Any extra that we received we plan to donate to local organizations that Finley and I love and support.
