A family in DIRE need.

Hello, my name is Jennifer and my friend and her family are in need of help!

Her husband Chris had an allergic reaction to the chemicals he was working with about two months ago. Since then he's gone to the ER a few times because his arms will blister and peel, but now it's his face peeling off and he's basically blind because his eyes are swollen shut. They did a CT with contrast and CT revealed he has fluid in his eyes that isn't supposed to be there. Her theories are this is an rare allergic reaction to the steroids they were giving him and he's having steroid withdrawal syndrome or adrenal insufficiency from the steroids or obviously some type of extreme IgE immune system response. She had to demand more help because the staff just wanted to laugh at his pain and only offer a wet rag! Needless to say he's on his second dose of morphine. She's trying to get some rest before the trip and long stay at UTMB. Hopefully his vision isn't permanently affected or worse. She is also in pain from an awful ear infection that may cause significant hearing loss and her daughter was recently diagnosed with a severe case of pneumonia. Update: Ashley's ears are slowly getting better. She had nasty stuff draining out. Chris has been diagnosed with perinasal and periorbital cellulitis, which translates to a massive infection in his sinus cavities. He's on like 8 different intravenous medications, so they finally blew all of his veins out and put a PICC line in, (which she asked about days ago ). Her daughter is doing better, but still needs another scan of her right lung and she still have to follow up with a pulmonologist and allergist for her. Even her support animal is stressed. SO, ANYTHING you can spare, no matter how big or small makes a huge difference to help them afford these outrageous bills and ABSOULTE crippling stress this family has gone through this December.
