Support Josh’s Battle Against Cancer

Josh has been courageously fighting cancer since August 2024.

His journey began with a diagnosis of Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) in the hard palate of his mouth. He underwent major surgery to remove his top jaw and top teeth, and reconstruct his jaw, doctors used a piece of his fibula from his leg. They also removed lymph nodes from the left side of his neck where the cancer was located. To further aid in his recovery, muscle, tissue, and blood vessels from his leg were used to rebuild his hard palate.

After surgery, Josh spent 2 weeks in hospital, 8 days in ICU with a trachea to help him breathe and further 6 days in a ward. He received treatment after surgery which was 6 weeks of intense daily radiation therapy. Sadly, residual side effects followed, but Josh fought through with incredible strength and determination.

In November 2024, a lump was discovered on the left side of his bottom jaw and Fortunately, it was non-cancerous and was removed. However, in February 2025, a new lump appeared overnight on the right side of his neck. Tests revealed it was cancer and it had also spread to his remaining lymph nodes in his neck, the base of his skull and to his lung.

Despite these setbacks, Josh continues to fight with unwavering courage. With appointments already in progress, we are now rallying to build a supportive community around him, including his family. Our goal is to raise funds for ongoing treatment via conventional and other integrative treatments that offers a chance at recovery and a better quality of life.
