Cindy's Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
Friends, Family, and Strangers alike,
We are reaching out to everyone today on behalf of our beloved Cindy Sears, a devoted wife, a loving mother of two, a sister, an aunt, and a dedicated server of over 20 years at Ragtime in Atlantic Beach. Unfortunately, our world was turned upside down when she was rushed to the E.R. by her husband in June after work with various breathing complications. After staying three nights in the hospital and countless tests, we were devastated to learn she has stage 3 adenocarcinoma lung cancer. Now, unable to work and without health insurance, Cindy and her family undoubtedly are faced with an uphill battle. Thankfully, she is still in great spirits, & is determined to fight this disease valiantly tooth & nail.
Cindy has spent the majority of her life growing up in Jacksonville; eventually starting a family, and raising her two children. She has always made countless sacrifices for the sake of her husband and children. She worked tirelessly to provide, protect, and care for her family and friends, as well as her community. If you have had the pleasure of meeting Cindy out and about, at Jaguar games, or while she was working, you would know what life she can breathe into a room with her wit, humor, and smile. For years in our community, she has met many faces, new and old, and always extends a helping hand to anyone in any time of need. As a mother particularly, she is as wonderful as they come. There isn't a mountain she wouldn't move for her children, always carrying their happiness and best interests in mind. Her family is a reflection of this and cherishes her equally as much.
Cindy has only just been scheduled for radiation treatment recently and is still searching for an oncologist to begin chemotherapy, and the bills have already begun to quickly pile up. As her journey continues, we are seeking your support to help Cindy re-acquire health insurance, cover medical expenses, and avoid any additional financial hardship as a result of the diagnosis experienced by her and her household during this trying time.
