Yo Yo Salon is asking for your support

Yo Yo Salon is a small local hair salon serving the community for nearly two decades in the Inner Richmond neighborhood, San Francisco. As a hair stylist and business owner, Simon and I have weathered many ups and downs but nothing remotely close to the sheer magnitude of the challenges we face.
Since Yo Yo Salon closed on 3/16/2020, our staff has yet to receive any government assistance. We have applied for several grants and government loans but the resources are capped out. As with any small business, we have ever rising staggering rent and other overhead that we must pay. The Shelter in Place order is especially hard on businesses like ours due to the intimate one-on-one service we provide. Even when this order is lifted, we will have to limit the number of guests and stylists in order to comply with social distancing guidelines. We anticipate the process towards recovery will be slow and may take several years at best.
Simon and I have worked tirelessly to build a business that offers high quality service for our community in an environment that is safe and where our talented, creative, kind and hardworking stylists can serve you. After so many years, our staff are like our family and our priority is to support them and their families through this unprecedented period. We all miss our guests and miss doing what we feel so passionate about. We cannot wait to open our doors again and to serve the community that built us into the family we are.
Please support us and help us remain one of the enduring small businesses that can survive this pandemic.
Any amount makes a difference and is so appreciated at this moment.
