Yoga Synergy Scholarship for Abhishek Maurya

Please donate and help the wonderful Abhishek Maurya fulfil his dream to attend an internationally certified teacher training with Yoga Synergy in February 2020, India.  




Yoga Synergy have kindly offered Abhishek a two-third tuition scholarship worth AUD$2574 / USD$1737). 

We are raising funds to cover his travel, food and accommodation. 

Any donation (large or small) will be very much appreciated.

Our goal is AUD $3500.

Any additional monies raised beyond the travel and accommodation expenses will be donated to the social school for where Abhishek teaches children in Mumbai for equipment.


About Abhishek:
Abhishek is an inspiring 21 year old Mallakhamb teacher to children at Sane Guruji Arogya Mandir in Santacruz Mumbai (India) - this is what they call a “social school” in India.

He has been practicing Mallakhamb Gymnastics and Yoga since he was 10 years old, 2-3 hours every evening, Monday to Saturday.

Abhishek teaches at the "Social School":  kids gymnastics, yoga, aerial yoga and rope/pole Mallakhamb. The children parents pay a very small monthly fee (around AUD$3 per month), hence, he also earns a very small monthly fee for his work - which is his passion.

Abhishek also teaches private yoga classes and yoga in hospitals to in-patients. He is currently studying a Bachelor of Physical Education via correspondence in Pune and would like to have an international yoga qualification.

About Yoga Synergy:

Together, Simon and Bianca have developed a well respected, practical training course with integrity and depth, which combines the wisdom of an eastern practice with the best of western physiotherapy. They have been training teachers for over 25 years. 

Yoga Synergy have kindly offered Abhishek a half tuition scholarship on their upcoming international training to be held in Goa, February, 2020. This training includes access to both of Yoga Synergy's online courses: Advanced Yoga Fundamentals  and Applied Anatomy & Physiology.


The Goal:

Your donation will be used to cover expenses outside of the training, which include:

• An accommodation & food package at The Mandala Resort, Mandrem, Goa (for 28 days inclusive)
• Transport from Mumbai to Goa via train (return)
• Minor expenses for off days (4 days in total)
• Any additional funds raised beyond these expenses will be donated to the Yoga Shala where Abhishek teaches the children and used for equipment.
