In 2009 Tim came to me and asked me to start a yoga podcast.
For the last 11 years he has been filming a yoga video for you every Friday.
We now have a video library of well over 500 yoga videos available for you completely free, 24/7 on YouTube as long as you have an internet connection.
How did we get there? Together of course and because of the support of our friends.
Tim started filming Yoga with Melissa with a video camera that he earned by filming real estate commercials. His second video camera he earned by filming commercials for G&G Electronics in Toronto. He has always worked hard to get the equipment that he needs to produce Yoga with Melissa.
The truth is Tim is FRUGAL, super frugal. He will keep jerry-rigging equipment long after it is out of date to save a dollar. He is like the old woman who lived in a shoe who refuses to spend money on herself even though she needs new clothes.
That is why I am reaching out to you to ask for your support in helping us to level up Yoga with Melissa.
We have already invested over $3.5 thousand dollars in capital investment in the form of computer equipment in the past couple of weeks. We built Tim a brand new computer from the ground up including a new processor, video card, hard drives and 4K monitors so that he is no longer waiting for hours at a time while his hard drive spins and he can't work because his computer won't keep up. This was a HUGE investment for us, but I know we all agree, Tim is worth it. We don't want him frustrated each time he goes to his computer and it grinds to a halt.
Over the last 11 years we have built a trusting relationship as friends. I hear from many of you everyday how Yoga with Melissa has changed your life. I am so proud of all of you and the ways that you have integrated yoga into your life. The thing is, I know this is because Tim provides you with a seamless video and photography production experience so you can focus on your yoga without even thinking about what is happening behind the scenes.
You have been there for us over the years and we are so grateful for your support. In 2012 you bought us new mic packs to keep our sound quality high. In 2016 you bought us a new drone and stabilizer. You have been incredibly awesome in helping us to keep our video production high. I so appreciate the way we have been there for each other.
Just 10 people donating $200 or 200 people donating $10 would allow us to buy Tim a Sony A6600. Tim can still be frugal because it will allow him to use the lens options we currently own and it's small enough that we will be able to hike into even more remote and wild locations to film our Yoga videos, Lifestyle Vlogs and Posts. It will also serve as a very capable photography camera which means we will only need to bring one camera with us on our shoots.
Now I know you guys are super generous, so our reach goal is to purchase Tim a small drone, so small Tim can stick it in his pocket, which would cost $400, to take with us on hikes to add even more beautiful establishing shots and b-roll to our videos for you.
