Yoga Across the Globe

Donation protected
I’ve been thinking about this project all day, everyday and decided I really need to make it a reality. I’m so grateful that I have the opportunity to make being a yoga teacher my life’s work. It’s something that has made me learn and grow in ways I never imagined & become more of who I am each and every day. I’m able to share something I truly value with others and always learn so much more in the process.

I’m planning to pack up and leave my life in San Francisco, to teach & practice yoga around the globe in 2016. I want to document the differences and similarities of how yoga is being approached and taught everywhere, because I’m sure there is so much to learn about how we’re all on this journey together.

I’m so happy that yoga is prevalent and that more and more people are getting on their mats. However, a lot of conversations also come up about how yoga is now becoming diluted; as people start to concern themselves more with how many likes their yoga pose has on Instagram or whether their brand of yoga leggings are the new thing. It’s definitely a bit disheartening to see, but I also believe that there is a learning curve and there are many people out there who understand the depth of how profound and life-changing yoga can be.

I want this project to help bring yoga communities together, remind people why they practice, and become aware when yoga is being presented as a product rather than a lifelong practice.

I’ll be posting updates on my blog to share my experiences as a I travel. Follow the journey on yogaacrosstheglobe.tumblr.com

I would love to hear any suggestions about studios you think I should teach or practice at! The places I plan to include in the project are as follows (or maybe even more):

Abroad:  India, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Switzerland,  Italy,  Austria,  Germany,  Canada, Singapore, Bali, Australia

U.S.: Boston, Austin, Seattle, Hawaii

Please know how much I truly appreciate your support in the creation of this project, because literally every dollar counts, and you’re helping me to turn this project into reality!! Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
