For those of you who don't know me, My name is Kristen Prosen and I am a yoga educator and herbalist working out of Tampa, FL and I am soliciting your support for the trip of a lifetime!
Here's the deal: I'm going on a huge trip around the United States to visit friends and family, to connect with herbalists and plants and yogis, and open myself to adventure, independence, and interdependence with my cosmic community.
THE BACKGROUND: as a woman, I've had a notion for a long time that if I were to travel, I would have to do it with a partner, that it wasn't okay or respectable to travel alone. I spent years looking for the right relationship where I could make this dream a reality and after the end of my last long term partnership, I finally realized that this was MY trip and MY dream and to be in the relationship I desired with, I had to be in that relationship with myself FIRST.
Thus, I've been planning this solo road trip for my dog and I for over a year and in the spirit of interdependence, I am reaching out to my community now to offer every service that I could possibly offer to raise the funds needed to see that this adventure occurs.
Your contribution will:
1. assist me in upgrading my vehicle to support long term, safe, reliable, and comfortable travel
2. Ensure that Appa and I have healthy and nutritious food to eat during out trip and safe places to stay during the sections of the country where we don't have any friends or family.
3. Make sure that if the worst should occur, we will get the care that we need and be able to travel back home safely.
