Please help us bring Bhakti Yoga to Nashville

Yoga has been my profession and passion for 15 years. After owning and operating several yoga studios during that time, and having to close the last one with Covid, I vowed I would not do it again. Instead, I turned all my attention to my spiritual life and have been working and associating with spiritual peers and teachers, traveling to Holy places, and studying and teaching Bhakti Yoga. While I still teach asana and love working in Yoga communities, it has become clear that the spiritual component of yoga is oftentimes missing. To fill this void and bring these teachings to my community, I have received many signs that I should take the risk and forge ahead with this project, not least of which is meeting my partner, Steven, who is deeply committed to the same mission. Working in tandem with a local non-profit-owned building, we have graciously been given the opportunity to open a Bhakti Yoga space in the heart of Nashville, Tennesse. We are looking to renovate and build out the space to be a community center bringing people together to discover and awaken their highest selves through the ancient wisdom and practices from the Yoga tradition. Through such offerings as asana classes, reading groups, kirtans, community dinners and hosting empowered guests and teachers, we hope to inspire our students to practice and live Yoga both on and off the mat. We want to make a clear distinction in our minds and our mission between our material and spiritual work. We want this to be a community endeavor, not a business. Therefore, we are asking our friends, family and yoga communities to assist us in making this vision a reality. We hope to build something that will benefit everyone, including those who contribute.
