Yolna Lubrin, who was affectionately known as Yo-Yo, has tragically lost her life in Orlando. Her lifeless body was discovered hanging from a tree at the intersection of Westmoreland Drive and Livingston Street. This heartbreaking incident has left her family with many unanswered questions, especially regarding the circumstances of her death, which even law enforcement has yet to fully explain.
Orlando police initially described her death as a suspected suicide within 24 hours of their investigation.
On September 28 at or around 7:40am, Orlando police found Yolna Lubrin, 30y/o, hanging from a tree in a backyard near West Livingston Street and North Westmoreland Drive, which was not her home.
The family is calling on the Orlando Police Department and Chief Eric Smith to look further into a case after their loved one was found dead hanging from a tree at a home in the Parramore community.
No search was applied inside the home because the Orlando Police Department stated they did not have "probable cause" to enter the home. Orlando Police Department is not communicating with the family about the discovery of the case and ruled it out as a suicide.
They also claimed there are details that police overlooked in their investigation, including the condition of Lubrin’s car, which was“severely vandalized with all the doors open,” and an alleged sexual assault that her family says happened prior to her death. We are extremely saddened by the loss of our beloved Yolna Lubrin. We are pleading with the community to assist the family with funeral costs and private medical examination fees. Thank you for all your help in this matter, we are truly grateful!
