Yonkers Avenue’s Business Fire Relief Fund

Donation protected
The fire that burned on the morning of January 12, 2021 ravaged through and destroyed Tibbetts Park Market (671 Yonkers Ave.), Miracle Cleaners (675 Yonkers Ave.), One Stop Laundry (677 Yonkers Ave.). Damage from the fire has jeopardized the re-opening of a hair salon (679 Yonkers Ave.) and a nail salon (681 Yonkers Ave.). Covid-19 has affected mom and pop shops over the course of the year. To lose a business to a fire during the pandemic takes the hope and faith out of a business owner. Let’s come together and try to restore some of that hope and faith. As the owner of Dunwoodie Pizzeria, a business that has been a stronghold on Yonkers Avenue for over 50 years, I feel compelled to help my neighbors and am asking for those who have the financial capability to help. I consider myself lucky to have gotten to know each of the business owners, who each had their own special story of how they got into business. They were all after the American Dream, which has now become a nightmare. All money raised will be divided amongst those businesses affected and used as they see fit during their hardship.
