So short story is my Ford Expedition was low on oil and I didn't realize it and the engine blew up. A replacement engine is expensive and so is the work to put another in, costing more than getting a decent used for less than the price of that. In the future if I still have the Expedition sitting around maybe that can see the road again, but not right now.

Having a vehicle breakdown isn't so bad normally but when your engine blows up it's bad. I need a vehicle I can depend on going into my tourist season leading guided tours. If I don't have one then I can't make money, I work for myself and a vehicle provides an income. If I had a regular job at a retail store or worked for someone and not myself it would be ok I would ride my e-bike, walk, call a cab, or get a $500 beater.

I will use the money for a good used SUV that can get me back on the road, should it need some repairs it will help with that too. I'm not against traveling out of the Midwest to find one and pick it up. Some of the money raised will be utilized for the travel to pick one up if it is out of the area.
