My name is Noeraldeen QESHTA, I am 34 years old, an engineer. I had my own engineering office, a private house near my parents, with my wife Sherine Kashta, 32 years old, and our five children. Our life together was beautiful. Every weekend we used to go to the park, have dinner and enjoy driving in my car. My eldest daughter, Ayat, 13 years old, is an excellent student and is loved by her classmates and schoolmates. She regularly participates in school competitions. With her lovable and strong personality, she is always the star of the show. Her dream is to be a successful doctor one day. On the other hand, her sister Sara loves children and cares deeply for them. Like her sister, she is an excellent student and dreams of becoming a pediatrician one day. My youngest daughter, Habeeba, is 10 years old and is loved by everyone who meets her. She always participates in extracurricular activities at school while maintaining full grades. This is, in short, my happy little family. My larger family consists of my mother, father, three brothers and four sisters. I have always been by my father’s side when it comes to family matters. We used to wake up every day full of life and hope. That is until everything changed and the situation here got worse, and now we are living the hardest time of our lives. Our hopes and dreams are at stake and the light of hope in my children’s eyes is fading. The thought of losing someone I love is unbearable. I lost my office and my car, which I have yet to pay off, and I have no idea how I will ever make the payments. For the first time in my life, I have been unable to provide for my children’s basic needs. After all this loss, there was no choice but to leave Gaza and seek our dreams elsewhere. But in order to cross the border, we have to pay $6,000 per adult and $3,000 per child, not to mention the cost of food, water, temporary shelter and debts that I have not been able to pay off. I never imagined, in my worst nightmares, that my life would one day end this way. With your help and support, I will be able to save my family from certain death.
