Hi,
my name is Kylie Hann and this is my story!
It started with some back pain. The pain got so bad we ended up calling an ambulance to FMC. After many tests it was found an inflammation marker but a little high and my 16 year old daughters platelet levels dove.
After a week at flinders they managed to get the pain gone, was discharged with steroids and antibiotics.
24 hours later the pain returned and some. We got back to FMC where they tried to manage the pain but it got so bad it took over. My girl was struggling in the worst pain I have ever seen for 15 hours before going under a GA for an MRI and then straight to ICU.
Bloods were taken and we were then told she would be flown to Womens and Children’s.
Alyssa was bought out of sedation on Monday and a diagnosis of Leukaemia was confirmed on Friday. Chemo started Friday night and are currently on Day 4 out of 10.
2 courses minimum and Sydney for 8-12 weeks for a bone marrow transplant.
My family is asking for any help possible as we still do not know what this looks like but know we can’t do this alone. Xx
