Young Adult Relief After Tragic Loss

Donation protected
Hey guys! I want to start off by saying that I only seek to be completely honest about my intentions while asking for donations. For the past 8 months since my brother was murdered, his funeral costs($14,000), my personal bills, plus food has ran me completely broke. I was being quite about these problems for a long time while working two jobs as a means to take care of all my normal responsibilities and help my dad as much as I could; but even that wasn’t enough for me to get by. I’ve been living between places, from my best friend’s house, to my boyfriend’s parents’ place, carrying large luggage of clothing without even having a car. Before my father and I had to move out of our apartment 7 months after my brother’s death, I was giving half of my checks to be able to make rent since we were paying over $1600 for a two bedroom. Our rent before then was a little cheaper, but we were unable to make full payments for a couple months due to the funeral costs and burial expenses prior to it. I’ve went days without food sometimes in order to be able to keep Lyft money to go back and forth to the jobs I work at when I didn’t have rides. I am living between two different places with barely anything in my savings or checking account. I’ve worked hard, I didn’t beg, I consistently try, but overall, I am only just now turning 20 and I really need help. If anyone can donate anything, even just $5, I would be entirely grateful. The devastation of the tragic loss of my brother, Cleveland Deshon Elliott, otherwise known as Cj, has not only changed my life emotionally, but also financially. It hurts everyday to know I will be without him, and even more with the fact that I’m struggling so much. While I do receive help from the people I live with from time to time whom I love dearly, it’s still a big struggle as we all have our own separate lives and personal things to deal with. If you’re my family, friend, or even a random citizen I’ve never met, I’m praying for you and hoping that you’re dealing with life a lot easier than I am. Things are unfortunate for me, but I’m doing what I can to make it— with love, Alexis.
